memory or RAM(Random Access Memory) coordinated with processor for effiency performance.Most laptops have RAM at least 512MB ,it's support basic using only but in Windows XP or more does not support enough.So we should upgrade it up to 1GB for best performance in windows XP or Vista.In the same way if you need multimedia program or graphical game ,your RAM should be at least 1GB too.
Basic tasks - 512MB and above
Optimum Performance - 1GB and above
Optimum Performance - 1GB and above
Gamind and Graphical application - 1GM and above
